I just went to Newport at the beginning of the month! (Well, end of May)
The lobster bisque at The Brick Alley Pub was TO DIE FOR!!!
If you are going to tour the Mansions - get the "membership" ($75 for a family of 2 adults or $50 for a single) - it's well worth it. You get unlimited access to the mansions, one free Behind the Scenes at the Elms tour (very, very neat and a $12 value), 10-20% off any gift shop purchases and a fun sticker for your car! LOL. :)

My sister and mom are coming out to visit us next month, and I'm planning a trip to Newport. I've never been, but everyone tells me that you have to do the cliff walk (it's supposedly one of the 101 things you should do before you die!) and I really want to see Rosecliff. I've also been told that tea and cakes at Castle Inn is a must. Have fun!

Got married at Castle Hill last September. Go up there for sunset cocktails and sit on the Adirondak chairs (my husband actually proposed to me there). So beautiful and romantic! Also- their food is amazing- esp the chocolate soufle! Have fun!
Agree with EntertainingMom- Black Pearl for chowdah!

You must visit CKBradley's ... on Bellevue Ave, I think :) ..and the mansions are a must-see! I haven't been to Newport in years, so I don't have much more to offer. It's a gorgeous spot - ENJOY!
